Hi Soul Undergrounds next party will take place On Saurday June 23rd and we welcome back COLIN CURTIS who due to the unforseen snow was unable to make the February date . Colin will be ably supported by residents Paul Goldsmith and Jamie Taylor with some fine percussion provided by Glenn Worthington As ever the quality of the music is a 'given' and the quality of the clientele is unbeatable ...Hotel is selling out fast now with just a few days to go , lets hope we get some sunshine and its my Birthday week too so I'll be hoping for an extra good night :-)))

Time to advertise the second installment celebrating Ten Years of Soul Underground and now back in our old home town of Walsall.

The first one was more than a bit special to say
the least and we're hoping to make the next one equally as good.

pretty, full of charm and character,add some of the best people around to share a dancefloor with and its a recipe for yet another very memorable party.

Its been a little while but we have finally found a new home for Soul Underground ..back where it all began in Walsall.
SATURDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER 2011

We're going to be at :

The Lyndon House Hotel
Upper Rushall Street
Walsall
West Midlands
WS1 2HA

(Just off Jct 7 of the M6 down the road from the original Wharf ) .

The night will run monthly and we are planning an intimate Weekender there too in the coming months as there are a range of really suitable facilities with an amazing cellar bar and function room as well as the Conservatory that we have chosen.

This is ever such a lovely venue and its perfect for what we need which is to get back to how it used to be in the old days of The Wharf..we'll be staying with the diverse music policy we had then and once again we'll be bringing a variety of DJ's/collectors from all over the UK and inviting the European DJ's back too,so a wide spread of music will be aired with hopefully something for everyone .

I'm also really touched that Glenn Worthington has agreed to come out of retirement and play at the first night for us

The nights can start as early as required,there is an integral Bar in the Function rooms til at least 2 am and we can dance til we want to

Fish will have his Simply Soul stall set up in the function room too

If you want to book a room for the 17th September ,the rooms are really lovely and we have concessionary rates of

£30 per single including breakfast

£50 per double /twin including breakfast.

(For concessions please inform the Hotel that you are with the Soul Underground Soul Night when booking )

You can book in anytime after mid-day and enjoy the lovely outdoor terrace and barbeque in summer or the charming old bar with log fire in winter ..we can pipe the music through to all areas. Upon vacating the owner says that you can have a leisurely breakfast or stay in bed as there is no rush to check out on Sundays..if you want to stay a little while longer ,then there will be a lovely carvery available from 1 pm ( save going home to cook lunch)

Soul Underground ..just that little bit extra

Well don't know about you good people but I think that 2011 has started in much the same way as 2010 ended with an abundance of quality new music in the offing already.

It's wonderful hearing it on so many radio shows and podcasts but for me the real beauty is hearing it loud and in all its glory over a quality sound system and being able to dance to it as well surrounded by all your likeminded mates.
With this in mind we'll be back at the classy Ramada Hotel on Saturday 26th February to dance the night away to some wonderful quality contempoarary soul grooves.

I've just organised this one pretty quickly ,on a bit of a whim ,and it was a case of grabbing a date which didn't clash with too much ( difficult to say the least )

If you love underplayed contemporary soul music and you enjoy being in nice surroundings then please pencil this date in your diary ..the last one there was pretty memorable and we went all night ..as they say I'm sure this one will be following suit with a great cross section of music on offer from all the DJ's .

As before we have negotiated some wonderful concessionary rates from the Hotel and you can expect to share a top quality double room with a wonderful breakfast thrown in for only £50 per room ..click on the flyer for details and I really would love to see you there :-)
